In Indian sanskrit, there are certain steps to Nirvana. Practicing the asanas, meditating, becoming selfless, overcoming the ego, and so it goes. There is also a list of things that prevent you from reaching Nirvana. One of those is, yes, you guessed it, laziness.
Before I get into this, it doesn’t mean you should push yourself around full steam ahead leaving this moment in the dust. No, some of you reading this likely need to slow down and be a bit more chill. But then there are the others of you that are, for lack of a better word, lazy. You don’t want to be. You are fuzzy in your mind, tired and perhaps a bit depressed. Lazy is never just lazy, it signifies a hopelessness and a dimness that can’t be moved past.
